How Does the Climate Data Utility Represent Null / Missing Values?

Where there is no data on the Climate Data Utility for a particular company or data field, it could be due to one of several reasons:

• The field existed in the originating data source for the given reporting year, but the reporting company did not provide any data, or input a “-” value, for this field to the source.
• The field was not in the originating data source for the given reporting year; thus the reporting company was not able to provide data for this field to the source.
• If the company did not disclose at all to the source in a given year, the data value appears as “—”, and there is no source visible on the Climate Data Utility.
