What is the Climate Data Utility's relationship to the UNFCCC?

The Climate Data Utility is being developed on the recommendations of the CDSC and is designed to be integrated with the UNFCCC Non-State Actor Zone for Climate Action (NAZCA). The Climate Data Utility works closely with the UNFCCC with a view toward future integration - for example, aligning with UN jurisdictions and accessibility requirements. Incorporating the Climate Data Utility into NAZCA will support increased integration of private sector commitments and progress within the UNFCCC stocktaking and recognition processes. The UNFCCC Executive Secretary is a CDSC Member and the UNFCCC chairs the CDSC’s Climate Data Expert Advisory Panel.
