The Climate Data Utility builds upon the existing partnership with CDP where in-scope data from all companies that report publicly through CDP is transmitted to the Climate Data Utility and made available to all users. This includes direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2 and Scope 3) GHG emissions and GHG emissions reduction targets data.
The Climate Data Utility's announcement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) in June 2023 marked the first regional data transmission collaboration for the Utility. MAS launched Project Greenprint in December 2020 and will allow participating companies to transmit GHG emissions data to the Climate Data Utility.
Looking forward, the Climate Data Utility is seeking to build partnerships with leading jurisdictions to obtain and ingest mandatory climate transition-related data, expanding company coverage at scale to support the Climate Data Utility in reaching its full potential as a global, centralized, open repository for climate transition-related data.
